We’re going to have a happy hour on Thursday, June 23 starting around 6:00 PM. Please make sure you also mark on your calendars these major upcoming events for Georgetown:
* Georgetown President John DeGioia Reception on August 20
* Georgetown Basketball Exhibition Games, August 21 and August 22

For the happy hour, we’re heading (again) to longtime Shanghai favorite, Boxing Cat Brewery. Come join us on the third (top) floor of the Boxing Cat for drink specials and free billiards. Boxing Cat will extend their happy hour to 8:00 for our group. House brewed beers will be 35 RMB, along with house wine and standard mixed drinks.

With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas just around the bend, we wanted to host a Holiday Happy Hour so we can all catch up one more time before going our separate ways before the New Year.

This time we’re heading to longtime Shanghai favorite, Maya — one of the first Mexican restaurants in town (and arguably still the best!). Come join us in their “Hustler’s Lounge” for drink specials and snacks, as well as free billiards and a huge flatscreen playing holiday classics.

Rather than our usual happy hour this month, we thought of combining our event with some other alumni groups. This should be a pretty high turnout event, and over 15 alumni clubs are participating. Their last event had over 200 attendees!
